August 28, 10 "no pollution" super capacitor buses and 10 intelligent charging stations joined the Shanghai Bus 11 of the Link Road tram operators.

In July 2004, Shanghai Aowei Technology Development Co., Ltd. established the first rapid charging bus stop system in the world.  This intelligence system is proudly nominated as one of the green transportation for 2010 World Expo.

Based on advance capacitor technology from Russia, Aowei developed super capacitor which can be used on retrofiring motors or electric cars.  The whole new generation technology of super capacitor is bringing another environment-friendly power into our daily lives.  Compared with traditional bus, super capacitor bus provides a means of convenient, energy-efficient public transportation.  This super capacitor bus has passed over 10,000 km trail-run for more than one year ranging from broiling summer to frosty winter. 

It performed two roles in 2005 Shanghai International Industry Fair recently held in new International Exhibition Center.  It served as a means of customer transport, but also presented as one exhibit for this fair.  It was voted as ‘most attractive exhibit’ by participants through media.  Super capacitor bus route from Longyang Rd underground railway station to new International Exhibition Center was also awarded as ‘Most economic, most environment-friendly, and most attractive visiting route’.  Meanwhile, the vital part of this green bus – super capacitor stood out from thousands of projects and won the Silver Medal of this Industry Fair.
